Piedmont and its main town, Turin, became famous to the world in the winter of 2006 with the winter Olympic Games but this one the most prolific region of Italy that has a history that goes far behind the time. Turin gave the birth to the kings of Italy and the House of Savoia had a lot of properties, castles, villas, buildings that nowadays belongs to the Italian Government.
Some of this historical castles that are dated to the XVII-XVIII century can be hired (some of them only partially) and you can pretend to be a princess and a prince while having your wedding there.
Lake Como in Lombardy. The lake Como is famous all over the world because of the villas of the rich and famous, like George Clooney and in fact despite the little villages on the lake shore surrounded by mountains, Lake Como is a very exclusive place. It is maybe the most exclusive and amazing villa on the lake and it is a property of the Italian national Environmental trust. The villa is the ideal place for a very intimate, exclusive, private and romantic wedding. It can easily host more than 100 people.

It is considered among the Lombardy art trust, this 1700 villa has large rooms and an amazing big park on the lake. You can marry outside in the good season or inside in one of the rooms at the first floor.
