Civil ceremony in Palazzo Vecchio
Palazzo Vecchio is in Piazza della Signoria, the political centre of Florence. The Palace was built in by Arnolfo di Cambio, one of the most talented architects of that time, in 1299. He was asked by the magistrates to built a safe place for them (that were times of turmoil) and at the same time to celebrate the importance.
Palazzo Vecchio, but especially the famous Red Room was recently placed in the world top ten as one of the most beautiful room to get married.
Completely restored two years ago, the velvets, the frescos and the statues inside the room have been brought back to the antique splendor. The tapestries are dated back in 1768 to 1789 displaying the “Stories of Esther”.
Couples who want to get married in the red room do not only have an aesthetics memory of their wedding but also are deeply involved in the history of Florence.
Around 1100 couples, every year, got married in the Red room and half of them are not resident in Florence. Marrying under the “LILY” is not so complicated especially if you have a Wedding Planner that can help you with the documents.
