Castello di Cortanze (Cortanze castle)
Cortanze castle stands amidst the Rilate valley, in the Piedmont heart, in one of the most suggestive area of this north east region of Italy. Cortanze castle is also in the truffle area and thanks to its location the castle has also one of the best restaurants of the area.
The castle has the same original trapezoidal shape with two small towers and one cylindrical tower horned with scallops. The entire castle is surrounded by an enormous and legendary park. The actual owner gave this masterpiece of Piedmont art a new light combining the modern with the antique as it is in the tradition of this beautiful region.

The castle is not only a perfect location for a wedding both in summer and in winter (my personal suggestion is in October for the truffle season) but also a charmed lodging where your guests and you, of course, can spend magic moments of romanticism.
Castello di Racconigi, Le Serre (Racconigi castle, the Royal green house)
The Royal castle of Racconigi is a part of the historical residences of the former Italian Royal House and as for all the others castles now is a property of the Italian State and it included by UNESCO in the World heritage sites list. The first records of the castle are from around the year 1000. Charles Albert who eventually became King of Sardinia further enlarged and embellished the castle to represent the splendor of this new reign. The last king of Italy having received the castle as a wedding gift in 1930, he proceeded to install in it the family gallery of some 3,000 paintings and historical documents regarding the Holy Shroud.

The green house is the perfect location for wedding especially if you love gardening, plants and modern atmosphere in an enchanting and neo gothic styles as the green house is. The green house can host hundreds of guests, after reception balls.
Piedmont is not only the industrial heart of Italy but also a region with a lot of food and wine tradition, like Tuscany. Piedmont, too, has fantastic settings that are at their best in the fall with the changing of the color. I selected two of the most beautiful castles, one in the wine area and the other close to Turin, once the residence of the King of Italy.
